Hello, I’m Victor J. Irizarry, also known as Vod. Growing up in Puerto Rico, creativity and visualization were always integral to my journey. As a young boy, I found solace in drawing—a space where my ideas could take shape, and my imagination could run free. This daily practice grounded me, kept me focused, and opened my mind to the possibilities ahead.
I believe wholeheartedly in the power of imagination, which is why I’m committed to drawing every day. It’s a way to nurture creativity, transform thoughts into tangible forms, and keep the spark of inspiration alive. By sharing my practice, I hope to encourage others to embrace their own creativity and discover the limitless potential that unfolds when we put pencil to paper.
I explore a variety of mediums, including pen, ink, and digital art with tools like Procreate. Embracing this diversity, I find that confining myself to a single medium limits my artistic expression. Each idea I work with unfolds uniquely, leading to its own distinct style and creative journey. I am a cartoonist and comic book creator. I began self publishing my comicbooks in 2015. In the years since, I have published eight books and worked as a retailer exclusive cover artist for Image Comics titles such as Ice Cream Man #25, Lady Mechanika #1, Zombies vs Robots #. Most recently I did a TMNT #1 for IDW publishing and a cover for Phoenix New Times Magazine.
